Jerry Wayne Jones, age 49, passed away peacefully at his home in Dyer, Tennessee, on Monday, August 3, 2026. Jerry was born on October 26, 1976, to the late Chester and Linda Jones.
A man who cherished the simple pleasures in life, Jerry was happiest with a fishing pole in hand, spending time at the river, enjoying a cold Diet Mountain Dew, and being surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Denise Jones; his three cherished children, Anna Marie Jones, Joshua David Jones, and Jacquita Lynn Jones; his siblings, Eddie Richardson (Cindy), Leanne Priddy (Kevin), Sherry Ursery (Jamie), and William “Hank” Jones (Regina); as well as a large and loving extended family of many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester Dwayne Jones and Danny Jones.
Service Information
A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Keely Mill Baptist Church, located at 204 Madison St., Dyer, TN 38330.
* Visitation: The church doors will open at 9:00 AM for family and friends to gather.
* Funeral Service: 10:30 AM
* Fellowship Meal: A meal will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
