It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the passing of Tyrone “Ty” Banks. Tyrone was a devoted spouse, loving father, and attentive son/brother/friend. Ty passed unexpectedly at home, in Cookeville, Tennessee, on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Ty was born on July 28, 1974 in Caldwell, Idaho to Hershal & Lynda Banks. Ty was father to 3 sons, 1 stepson, and 3 stepdaughters, whom he cared for very much. Ty was married on January 25, 2019 to D. Elaine Banks.
Ty was preceded in death by his beloved father Hershal Banks Sr, brother Hershal Banks Jr, and his beloved son Ryan Banks. Ty is survived by his wife D. Elaine Banks, his mother Lynda Banks, his sister-in-law Tracey Banks, his sons Auston and Caidon Banks, his stepson Brandon Kysar, his stepdaughters Czarinna Clay, Alyxandra Johnson, and Hannah Read, as well as four step grandchildren Lydia, Gideon, Sophia, and Gabriel. Ty also left behind 2 dogs that miss him everyday, Kiki and Otis.
Ty was an avid Boise State, NASCAR, college football (in general), music, and diecast tractor/car fan. Ty loved doing car models, playing farming video games, working on cars, and could fix almost anything.
Tyrone’s legacy was being the most supportive, loving, and giving person I have ever known. Ty never realized the positive effect he had on people and will be missed terribly.
