Shirley Jean Beem, age 74, of Big Sandy, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on January 11, 2026. Born on October 18, 1951, Shirley lived a life defined by love, resilience, and an unwavering spirit.
Shirley was a devoted and deeply loving mother whose strength and fierce determination guided her family through every season of life. She found joy in the simple, grounding things—casting a line on a quiet day of fishing, spending time outdoors, and tending to her garden and flowers with care. Her home and her heart were always open, and she shared both generously.
She adored her little dog, Baby, who was her constant companion. Known for her strong work ethic, Shirley worked hard her entire life and approached everything she did with dedication and grit.
Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Lee Jones, whose memory remained close to her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Beem; her children Tracy Lyles, Kelly Manning (Neil), Seth Lyles (Carman), Wesley Dutton (Melinda), and Holly Tucker (Laken); as well as her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Shirley will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love, strength, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
