We lost our beloved Samantha suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Our beloved Samantha was a daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, friend, and , most importantly, mother to MacKenzie Parker.
Samantha was born In Savannah , GA. She was the middle child and only daughter of Keith Fernandez and Melissa Fernandez Greco. She was the granddaughter of Rita Woods Fernandez and William Nelson Fernandez. Her brothers, William Fernandez and Zachary Fernandez, live in the Atlanta area. Nelson and Toni Fernandez, her Uncle and Aunt, also reside here in Waverly. There are many cousins/aunts/uncle in the Washington DC/Baltimore area, as well as Salt Lake City Utah , Charlotte NC ,and Los Angeles California.
Samantha is a graduate of Grayson High School in Grayson GA, class of 2005. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, loyalty to those who she loved and dedication to working hard. She was a photographer, and she loved interior design. She was a die hard Georgia Bulldog fan , loved country music and was so proud of her daughter Mackenzie.
Recently she was working at Bud’s Market in McEwen.
We will be sending Sammy to the Lord on Saturday, June 27, at 11am at the Waverly United Methodist Church. Family and friends are welcome to join us to celebrate her life.
