Mr. Jerry Lee Harvey, age 88, of Camden, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
He was born September 9, 1937, in Bedford, Indiana, to the late Norman Harvey and Mary Spoonmore Harvey.
Jerry proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran and was honorably discharged. He was a graduate of Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where he earned a degree in music. He faithfully served for more than 50 years as a minister of music for Baptist churches in Kentucky, Mississippi, Florida, and Tennessee before retiring several years ago.
Jerry loved traveling and had visited every state except Alaska. He also enjoyed genealogy and history and was a member of Find a Grave and Ancestry.com, where he loved researching and discovering family history and relatives. In addition to his ministry career, Jerry owned and operated Collierville Decor Center in Collierville, Tennessee, and House of Styles Ladies Shop in Bruce, Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Enlow Harvey of Camden, TN; sons, Jerry Lynn Harvey and wife Lori of Collierville, TN, and David Harvey and wife Rachel of Collierville, TN; daughter, Robbie Mason and husband Randy of Collierville, TN; stepchildren, Gwen Hardy and husband Tim of Martin, Chris Pace and wife Doris of Collierville, TN, and Carla Sharpe and husband Brad of Camden; grandchildren, Jerry Lynn (Alicia ) Harvey, Jr., Jeffrey (Joelle) Harvey, David (Theresa) Harvey, Jr., Brad (Toni) Pace, Brandon (Miranda) Pace, and Jennifer (Robert) Harvey Hamm; Great-grandchildren, Jerry Lynn Harvey III, Sloane Evans, Kamden Pace, Lydia Harvey, Hadley Pace, Nicholas Harvey, Hudson Harvey; step-grandchildren, Lindsey Mason of Memphis, Brennan Mason and wife Mary of Nashville, Aubree Shell and husband John of Memphis, and Keanan Mason of Memphis, Zach (Mercedes) Hardy, Ben (Ashley) Hardy, Evan (Audrey) Sharpe, Patrick Robinson; and 14 step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Harvey of Des Moines, Iowa; sister, Joann Kochert of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and his wife of 58 years, Wanda Lynch Harvey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregiver, Mary, for her kindness and help over the past 15 months.
