James Everette Cook, age 56 of McEwen, entered the presence of our Lord on October 10, 2025. James was born in Camden, TN on May 15, 1969, to the late James Earl Cook and Jeanette Berry Cook. James was a 1985 graduate of Big Sandy High School and was a member of Compassion Church. James was a hard worker, and a provider for his family. He often prided himself in “out working the younger ones.” James had most recently been employed at Accurate Energetic Systems, where he had been employed for 16 years. James was an avid hunter and fisherman and always said that he felt closer to the Lord while being in the outdoors. What James enjoyed most was spending time with family. James was a loving son, and brother, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
To know James was to love him. His spirit was quiet, gentle, and tender. He loved his family fiercely. He loved to laugh and had and sweet infectious smile and was loved by all that knew him.
Along with his grandparents, James was preceded in death by:
Father James Earl Cook, Niece Stephanie Henry, and 1 infant child Jayce Cook
