Gordon Bowers, age 69, passed away on January 8, 2026 in Clarksville, TN
He was preceded in death by his father, Repps Bowers, and his mother, Annetta Buckingham Bowers.
Gordon is survived by his sister, Sally Moseley; his best friend and brother to the end, Larry Murphy; his nephew, Paul Travis (Krista) of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and his niece, Angela Woods (John) of Southside, Tennessee. He is also survived by his great-nieces, Amber Woods-Lampley, Angel Masterson, and Autumn Reed; his great-great niece, Ryleigh Ward; and his great-great nephews, Mack Lampley and Repp Lampley.
Gordon spent his working years as a framer and took great pride in honest work and craftsmanship. He was a former member of Bikers Who Care, an avid deer hunter, and someone who loved the freedom of the open road. Known for his kind heart, Gordon never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need—though those who knew him best would smile and say he could be easy to fire up.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
