Gayle C. Parks was born on June 2, 1946, to Earl Chambless and Mary Beth Winsel. As the eldest daughter among ten children—three brothers and seven sisters—Gayle grew up with a natural sense of responsibility, strength, and compassion that shaped every chapter of her life.
For 60 years, she was devoted to her husband, the late Franklin H. Parks. Together, they built a life grounded in love, service, and community. Side by side, they developed the Benton County South 40 Fire Department from the ground up, dedicating countless hours to building a resource that would protect and serve generations.
Gayle passed away on June 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by resilience, loyalty, and unwavering love for her family.
She is survived by her two daughters:

• Melody A Parks (deceased)
• Oma Michele Buster and spouse Bo Buster
Gayle was a proud grandmother to:
• David Reed and spouse Jessica Reed
• Destiny B. Allison and Josh Allison

• Heather Reed
• Amber Reed (deceased)
• Cheyenne Buster
She is also survived by six great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought her joy and pride.
