Danny McDaniel, age 80, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on October 22, 2026 at home with loved ones.
Danny was born on June 2, 1946 in Knoxville, TN, the son of Scott & Dorothy Ford.
Danny proudly served his country as a medic during the Vietnam War. His service reflected the compassionate heart he carried throughout his life. He was a giver, never a taker, and would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Taking care of others wasn’t simply something Danny did; it was who he was.
Danny was a man of strength, determination, and had unwavering love for his family. He was hardworking, stubborn at times, quiet in nature, and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. Though he wasn’t always a man of many words, his actions spoke volumes about the kind of person he was.
Danny is survived by his children Todd Hamilton (Misty Hamilton), Scott Howell; grandchildren Chase Hamilton (Emani Hamilton), Cheyenne Hamilton; great grandchildren Scarlett Hamilton, Tylan Hamilton, Theodore Hamilton; brother Jeff Ford; niece Lori Collins; and several other nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by parents Scott & Dorothy Ford; brothers Bill McDaniel, Johnny Ford, Jack Ford; sister Joann Collins; nephew Michael Ford and several other loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at the VA cemetery and this information will be updated upon being scheduled.
