William “Billy” Herman Zuckschwerdt, Jr., age 46, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away on September 30, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Billy was born on October 6, 1979, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late William “Big Bill” Zuckschwerdt and Janice Rowlett Thomas.
Billy was a talented and hardworking mechanic who had a true passion for working on vehicles. Throughout his career, he worked for Street Dynamics and O’Reilly Auto Parts before pursuing his dream of becoming an independent mechanic through his own business, Stampede. His knowledge, dedication, and willingness to lend a helping hand were qualities that made him special to those who knew him.
Outside of his work, Billy enjoyed cooking, grilling, spending time outdoors, gathering around bonfires, attending car shows, and fishing. He was especially known for his beloved Bronco and his love for the Punisher, both of which became unforgettable parts of who he was.
Above all, Billy will be remembered for his selfless heart, caring nature, and the unconditional love he shared with everyone around him. He was the kind of person who would go out of his way to help others, never expecting anything in return. Whether someone needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply someone to be there, Billy was always willing to give what he could. His kindness, generosity, and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Billy’s greatest pride and joy was his family. The love he had for his children, grandchildren, and those closest to him was immeasurable. He had a special way of making people feel loved and cared for, and his presence brought warmth, laughter, and countless memories to those around him. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave so freely and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Billy is survived by his three daughters, Destiney Stevens, Haley Stevens and her spouse, Nathan Webb, and Alora Zuckschwerdt; his eight beloved grandchildren, Colt Webb, Piper Flowers, Briar-Lynn Bratton, Atticus Flowers, Adaline Webb, Novah Warman, Tiernan Morse, and Serenity Morse; and his brother, Jeremey Buie, and his fiancée, Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Big Bill” Zuckschwerdt, and his mother, Janice Thomas.
Billy’s legacy will not be measured by the years he lived, but by the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the countless ways he put others before himself. His selflessness, compassion, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. Although his time here was far too short, the impact he made will last a lifetime.
He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
