Karen Alwell, age 66, of Paris, TN passed away on Sunday, Sept 6, 2026 at her residence.
Karen was born November 29, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY, was raised in Xenia, Ohio. Daughter of Thomas Alwell and Dorothy Keene (Jim Keene)
Karen was a RN for many years at Miami valley hospital and a graduate of Kettering college of medical arts. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of The who’s who of medicine. She was the youngest recipient of a pacemaker in the United States. She beat all odds placed against her.
Karen is survived by daughter Ashley Lee (Carl Williams), three grand children Madylin, Kayli and Jameson Lee all of Paris, TN, two surviving sisters Susie Stall and Rita Wetterhan, several nieces and nephews and Ronald ‘Bill’ Stephens
Karen was proceeded in death by her parents Thomas Alwell, Jim Keene and Dorothy Keene, brother Rob Keene, sister Rainey and her best friend since childhood Paige Patterson.
She is to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Ohio. Cremation has taken place in no public services are planned at this time.
