Carolyn Denise Day Bell, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Bolivar, Tennessee, on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 2, 1957, Carol was a devoted mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many. She cherished time spent with her family and found her greatest joy in the generations she helped nurture and support.
Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Bell, who passed away in 2010. She is also preceded in death by her parents, J.B. Day and Joann Gober Day; her sisters, Sandra Day, Rachel Wise, and Debra Day; her brothers, John Day, and Joe Day; and three cherished grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michael Abner Jr., Jeremy Funderburk (Melissa Funderburk), Brandy Bullard (Ricky Hubbard) David Bell (Brandi Bell), Jennifer Allen (Austin Allen), and William Bell.
She is also survived by her brothers, Arthur Day and Jimmy Day.
Carolyn leaves behind a loving legacy through her grandchildren: Sandra Hughes (Jacob Hughes), Brittney Hubbard (Danny Morales), Jacob Allen (Ashyia Rehfeldt), Joshua Allen (Emily Apperson), Jacob Push, Dakota Hubbard, Ariel Bell, Ashley Allen, Taylor Funderburk, Jordan Bell, Debra Allen, Ruby Funderburk, and Caleb Bell. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hughes and Wesley Hughes, who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Carol will be remembered for her love and the many memories she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her. The family finds comfort in knowing that Carol has been reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her and that her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Bolivar, TN on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., with Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
