William “Burch” Douglas, age 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born February 22, 1951, in Shelbyville, TN, to the late Mary Sue Douglas and William Bill Douglas. He was a longtime resident of Waverly, TN.
William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Faye Aline Douglas; his son, Scott Kilburn; his granddaughter, Erica Kilburn; his brother, Roy Larry Douglas; and his parents.
He is survived by his children: Richard (Debbie) Kilburn of New Johnsonville, TN; Jeff (Bobbie Dawn) Kilburn of Waverly, TN; and Tammy (Kevin) Elliott of McEwen, TN.
He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Jordan of Hillsboro, MO and Mary Schlenk of Columbia, MO.
William leaves behind many cherished grandchildren: Wayna Kilburn and Becky Kilburn, both of Waverly, TN. Jamie Calhoun of Waverly, TN; Ricky, Michael and Josh Culp, all of Waverly, TN; Calvin Wilson of Waverly, TN; Rachel (Jason) Browning of Waverly, TN; Chris (Meagan) Browning of New Johnsonville, TN; Savannah (Matt) Warren of Waverly, TN; and Josh (Anna) Hughes of Murfreesboro, TN. William was also blessed with several great-grand children.
William, affectionately known as “Bill,’ was a loving husband, father, proud grandfather and great grandfather, caring uncle, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
