Brian Ringsdorf, 52, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2025, in Johnson City, Tennessee. Born on September 27, 1972, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Brian’s life was marked by a deep appreciation for nature and a passion for hospitality.

Brian graduated from Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina, in 1990. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University. His academic path reflected a lifelong interest in creating welcoming spaces and meaningful experiences for others.

Those who knew Brian will remember his love of the outdoors, whether hiking with his dog through the scenic trails of Tennessee and North Carolina or paddle boarding across tranquil lakes. Brian also shared a love of golf which he enjoyed with his father over the years.

Brian is remembered by his family with love and respect. He is survived by his stepmother Sibyl Ringsdorf; brother Ted Ringsdorf Jr. and sister-in-law Lynn Ringsdorf, nephew Eric Ringsdorf, and niece Jennifer Ringsdorf; sister Liane Rudd and brother-in-law Mark Rudd, nephews Owen Rudd and Oliver Rudd; stepbrother Jeremey Stanton; and stepsister Jessica (James) McCann. Brian also shared part of his life with former wife Cortney Ringsdorf.

He was preceded in death by his father Ted Ringsdorf and mother Jan Ringsdorf.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held this summer to honor the memories shared and the impact he had on those around them.
